PLAN stage:

  • Plan my schedule before executing the work. During the holidays, I plan with my teammates on the topic I will be doing for the excel project and set my weekly goals.

  • This is to ensure that I submit my work on time as this is a self-initiated project which means I need to take the initiative to complete my work on time and with quality.

PERFORM stage:

  • I perform the task as how I planned it according to the schedule I have planned. Throughout the term, I kept referring to my schedule to ensure that I was following my schedule, and when needed, I consulted my facilitator.

  • As for the Overseas Community Project (OCP), I did it with my Guided Learning teammates, and we had to host small group discussions and present one culture to all the Vietnamese students. To ensure that things go well, we called on Microsoft Teams to run through the activities.

MONITOR stage:

  • As I planned my schedule for this Guided Learning beforehand, I had to monitor my working pace and ensure that I followed my schedule as I also had some ongoing projects during the semester.

  • I need to track my work with the planned schedule to ensure that work is done and submitted on time.

REFLECT stage:

  • We had to discuss how we could improve the Excel guide and make sure that the font and format of our guide are the same throughout.

  • For the OCP, it was my second virtual trip experience. I have learned to slow down the pace that I speak so that others can understand what I am saying, as sometimes I tend to mumble.
